This is Ben, he is a Bi-Black German Shepherd, I rescued him from Merced Shelter, where he sat for 5 weeks in a cage. Ben was a bit of a wild child when I got him from spending his whole life in a back yard, I have worked with him in all types of situations, he has surprised me how quickly he has come around. Ben has been the Home Depot, Restaurants, Beach, River, Dog Parks everyday, have had zero issues with him. Ben is 75lbs will top out at about 85lbs, he is about a year & a half old. He has a good attitude, can be a bit aloof with some people, that is not unusual for Shepherds. I want Ben to go to a loving home, where he will be part of the family, not an outside dog, he needs to get out everyday for exercise & to stimulate his mind. German Shepherds are great Dogs & very smart. Update: I held Ben for over a month for a Woman who seemed like a perfect fit for him, but the day before she was suppose to take him she had second thoughts! Her loss, he is a Great Dog, I have spent all the time I have had him working on all types of situations. He does look a bit intimidating, but he is a big softy & a bit of a goof ball. He is still a young dog, so he gets excited sometimes, but we have worked on that & he is doing much better. He is great with all the dogs he has met, seems good with kids, not really that interested in them, I dont know about cats. Of interested in adoring him please fill out an application at bigdawgsrescue.org you can also see videos of him here : https://youtube/watch?v=tKH4FckkzJQ&feature=em-upload_owner https://youtube/watch?v=XBzGDUn7QnY
