This is CRAZY!!! If seldom use ATMs but when I do, I drive through first and look at everything surrounding the ATM machine, especially bushes, shrubs, trees and any appliances boxes. One I feel no one is lurking around, I pull back up to the machine and I pull SO CLOSE to the machine I have to pull my rear view mirror back so it doesnt scrap the face of the machine. That leaves NO room for anyone to get between me and the machine. I keep a small book in my car to cover my hand when I enter my pin so nothing sees me pushing buttons. I have just enough room to put three fingers down to capture my cash. My doors are locked at all times I am in or out of the car. Entering the car, I wait until I am at the back of my car to open it with my remote and I click lock as I open the door getting in so once I close the door I dont have to free my hands to lock the door. Those precious few seconds wasted to free your hands to lock a door once inside the vehicle can mean the difference in someone getting in. At a traffic light/stop sign, I leave enough room between me and the vehicle in front so if I have to get around, I can. In an emergency I wouldnt hesitate to ram another vehicle to create a scene if I had no choice. DO NOT PERMIT THIS TO HAPPEN TO YOU!!! Just think about your surroundings at all times. Make a few minutes to drive around a building and check out who is standing outside where you are going. That extra few minutes could save your life or keep you from a very ugly situation!!!!!
