This is Jenny Van Gieson. As soon as I heard Amandas news, I volunteered to help spearhead a fundraiser as I immediately wondered how her sweet family would withstand the financial burden necessary to fight her illness. The desire to do so stemmed from all Amanda has done for me and my family. She does not hesitate with her generosity. Amanda initially allowed for $50,000 to be the amount we could try and raise. However, after going over realistic cost calculations, it was clear her costs will likely exceed $100,000. These costs include the surgeons fee as well as all hospital fees. At her benefit teams suggestion, she is allowing us to up her fundraising goal to $80,000. I know we have all been touched by Amandas goodness. Thank you for all the support already shown! Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family Amanda.
