This is Maryland, a 7-year-old red-tailed hawk, who was brought to us by the Martin family, who found her on a roadside and were kind enough to capture her and bring her to the center. Maryland is missing her left eye and was in starving condition. She was tube fed and as of this evening, is eating small bits of solid food. Maryland was banded as a chick so we were able to look up her band number and see where she came from and how old she is. She just had a bath which included a feather blow dry.
