This is National Sibling Day! My big brother, Butch, is an awesome hunter and fisherman. He does taxidermy. He loves animals and is never afraid to approach a stray dog that needs rescue. Our mother always had a lot of excitement on laundry day because she never knew what she would find in his pockets. I remember the nasty worms and a grasshopper but the best one was the day she screamed at the top of her voice, Butchie!!!!!! (imagine the first syllable stretched out and the last syllable rising to the highest and loudest soprano possible) as her arm extended toward the ceiling and the garter snake bounced off the wall and onto the kitchen sink and then bouncing stunned to the floor. She was a nervous wreck for a week over that one. And that is my brother.
