This is Nito 1 1/2 to 2 yo - Primarily Shar Pei / mix 63.9 pounds Neutered / Microchipped male He is Utd on all shots Current on Heartguard /NexGard Some of you might remember Nito (Bonito) from past posts. He was a stray that lived on a church parking lot -- surviving on the mercy of strangers leaving food and water -- sleeping in the dirt under a nearby building. His days consisted of staying alone on a concrete lot. Lisa Jensen, Courtney Spiking and I have been caring for and feeding him -- Yesterday Nito finally trusted enough to get into my car -- and off to the vet we went. Turns out that this sweet guy was already micro-chipped. The owner was contacted and he decided to surrender Nito to me. Nito had been gone a year already. We think Nito has now been living on that parking lot for a whole year alone. Nito now officially needs a forever home !! His past is done and over and he is looking to a very happy, bright future. Previous owner says that Nito is a fence jumper -- says that is how Nito ran off to begin with. Previous owner says that Nito Loves, Loves to play in/with water. Splish-Splash !! Previous owner says that Nito is food aggressive with dogs. Personally, I have never -- not one time -- ever heard or saw Nito growl, bark or show aggression of any kind. He allows me to take his food bowl, bones, pig ears, etc..without fuss. I have not observed Nito eating with another dog. I have, on occasion, seen Nito when meeting another dog here and there and there was zero aggression, no barking, no growling -- no hackles. Nothing. Currently, Nito is at Hopes Boarding Camp -- hopesboardingcamp -- until Saturday so we can observe him and while Lisa Jensen preps her home for a temorary place for Nito to stay. Her home is filled with small dog rescues and 4 litters of pups. Nito will be the gentle giant among puppies. Please adopt Nito !!! -- if not, help find Nito a more size-appropriate foster.
