This is Why Rise of Incarnates is Delayed Until 2015 While the gameplay of free-to-play co-op fighter Rise of Incarnates is already established in Japan, its still an experimental formula for Western audiences. After some time in beta, the developers, who also created Tekken and SoulCalibur, found it necessary to delay its early access release until early 2015 to massage its mechanics more for Western players. The two-versus-two PC fighter was announced in April before moving on to a limited playtest and then entered beta test in June. “After the beta test we learned that since it is a brand new game—brand new IP, all the code is brand new, the game itself is quite new—there are a lot of areas that still need to improve that we found from user feedback,” producer Michael Murray tells IGN.
