Hubert has now been at the shelter for over a year - 394 days to be exact. They think he is about 2 1/2 to 3 years old. Hubert is such a cuddle bug and clearly loves human touch and attention. He needs a calm, experienced owner that can make his life predictable. He needs someone who is around rather than someone at work for 8 hours a day. Hubert can be anxious and when he is he gets jumpy and mouthy. Hubert would likely be ok with bigger dogs if introduced patiently, but he is way too interested in cats. The fact that Hubert is listed as part American Pit Bull Terrier and has some restrictions for an adoption is making it difficult for him to find a home. His first adoption showed he was too jumpy when excited for young children, and his second adoption showed he needed a calm home with a routine and dog savvy handler. Hubert is on his best behavior in a calm environment with people he can look to for guidance.He thrives when he knows what is expected of him.
