This is a good one I unearthed from the past, but still brings a good laugh! What a joker from the School by the Sea !!! Not All Roads Lead Home External Affairs Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris was recently faced with an unusual situation. After a busy day at the Ministry, the Minister had got into his vehicle and said he was going home. Much to his surprise, the driver of the vehicle had asked where the Minister’s residence was situated. Peiris had been shocked at the question and looked in bewilderment not knowing what to say. The Minister was unable to explain the route to his house. It was then that he realized that the members of the Ministerial Security Division (MSD) assigned to him have changed and that a new group was assigned to him that day. Finally, an official from the Minister’s office had to be called in to resolve the drama and explain to the driver the route to the Minister’s house. This story was related by none other than President Rajapaksa himself when he met with a select few Editors.
