This is a great non profit Christian foundation that my parents run. If you are missions minded or looking for an adventure with God get in touch with me. July 25, 2013 Dear Friends and Family, Greetings from Nampula! I hope that you are all doing well and enjoying the summer! I am writing this letter to ask for your help in finding teachers who might be interested in a quick and immediate once-in-a-lifetime teaching job in Africa! In our area we are part of a larger community of English speaking Christians from all over the world. Two years ago several different local and International mission organizations joined together to start an English speaking Christian school called Rapale International. The school is located on a large farm out in the beautiful African countryside, surrounded by dramatic mountains in the distance. It takes about 20 minutes to drive from the farm to the city of Nampula, which is the 3rd largest city in the country, and where the majority of the students live. Most of the families served by the school are from the U.S., South Africa, Zimbabwe, Holland, Nigeria, and of course Mozambique. Since the school started so recently, there are currently only a handful of students in each grade, but new classes are being added and more housing is being built. As the facilities expand, the school will grow rapidly. We are good friends with most of the parents and families involved in running the school and hope that our kids will be able to go there when they reach the right age. Right now there are two vacant positions that need to be filled immediately. One is a long-term sub position for Middle School English, and the other is an Elementary School teacher who can commit to at least one year. Since Rapale is a Christian school, the teacher must be a Christian and may teach Bible as a subject. The elementary position requires a teaching certificate, but the substitute position will not require a certificate if the teacher is very strong in English writing and grammar and has a college degree in English or a related subject. I would like to ask if you would pass this information on to anyone you know who is a teacher or who works with teachers who might be interested in this kind of opportunity. Below are the details stated again. Thank you so much and God bless you! Christina Carlos Rapale International School Location: Rapale, Mozambique, Africa Grades: 1-10 (will expand to grade 12 as school grows) Room and Board: On site with a family (or you may choose another option) Salary: Depends on qualifications and experience (probably a little under $1,000 per month).
