This is a great warmup for #weightlifting or #crossfit. I apologize for the skimpy clothes, but it is super hot here right now. For #stopdropashtanga #Day4 we have the famous #Surya #Namaskara A or #Sun #Salutation A. 0 - #Tadasana (Mountain pose) - stand straight and even on both feet, everything as in alignment as possible. 1- Inhale - raise your arms above your head. Drishti (or gaze) at your thumbs. 2 - Exhale - fold forward. Hands on your shins or the ground if you can muster it. Relax your neck, gaze at your nose or third eye. 3 - Inhale - look forward lengthen the spine and open up the chest. Hands stay where they were from the previous pose, drishti stays at nose third eye 4 - Exhale - jump or step back directly into Chaturanga, drishti third eye or straight ahead. If you need to step back, no problemo. 5 - Inhale - upward facing dog. Make sure your chest is open and your shoulder blades are pulling towards one another. Legs stay super tight. 4 - Exhale - down dog. Head and neck relaxed, arms and legs remain tight and strong. Gaze at your #bellybutton. 5 - Inhale/Exhale - Five deep breaths as you settle into the pose. On your final exhale bend your knees, look between your hands and... 6 - Exhale - quickly step, walk or jump your feet to your hands. Continue the exhale and reset the spine straight and long and then keep that extension into a forward fold. 7 - Inhale - arms up over head. 8 - Exhale - bring your arms in front of you and reset into #samastitihi 9 - Wash, rinse, repeat 3-5 times.
