This is a very tentative woo-hoo but a WOOHOO nonetheless, because I just learned from a school board member that $19,000 has been added to the budget to address this years existing snack needs in our schools so that kids dont go hungry and teachers & staff dont pay out of pocket to feed them. so: WOO!!! HOO!!! The board still needs to vote and approve the budget (this happens on 10/27) but this is a huge step forward for Sun Prairie kids and all of us who have been advocating around student hunger in our schools. Thanks for your continued support as SPARC works to shine a spotlight and raise awareness of the ways we can move forward together. LOCAL ACTION WORKS!
