On July 9th,Denise (our neighbor) went to our house at 10:30 pm to stay with our other kids so that Jay could come to the hospital to hold Sloan for the first time. Sloan had been whisked off to the NICU before Jay and I got to truly hold and snuggle him. I was alone and nervous , sore and scared and needed my husband with me.
