This is absolutely heart breaking and infuriating! Coming across stories like this just reassure my desire and passion to work with children with special needs. Define normal. Define unusual. Is a child not "normal" because he or she does not see things the way some other children may? Because they have a brilliant mind but are not able to communicate with others how they feel? Labeling, stereotyping and shunning these children from everyday life is the most feeble-minded, linear way of thinking.
