They were the featured band at the Philippine Fiesta 2011 performing alongside famous Filipino artists such as Ariel Rivera and Zsa Zsa Padilla. The band has been invited to perform at various events and benefit concerts. Sounds of Manila, tagged as ‘Ambassadors of Philippine Music’, brings to its audience the authentic Manila sound – a mixed genre of the music that has been most enjoyed in the Philippines. The band has also been arranging their own rendition of various OPM favorites, including their most requested ‘Teleserye Theme Medley’. Recently, the Sounds of Manila launched their first album under the tutelage Miss Cecile Azarcon and her composition. The band consists of Hermie Angeles (male vocalist, ‘Tanghalan ng Kampeon’ finalist, and Cultural Center of the Philippines stage actor from the play Aguinaldo 1896), Suzanne Lansangan-Sabangan (female vocalist, member of U.P. Los Chavales Chorale, and ‘Academic Freedom Band’ female vocalist), band leader, Ronnie Sabangan (bassist), veteran musician, Bobby de Leon (keyboard player and musical director of famed Filipino artists: Carmen Patena, Anthony Castelo, and Gloria Papin), Jojo Gendrano (guitarist), and JR Gendrano (drummer).
