PLEASE KEEP THE COMMENTS COMING, THIS SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT HELPS PARENTS WHO ARE NEWLY DELVING INTO INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE. Integrative medicine has made my professional life much more fulfilling because I can help families get to the root of their childs illness or challenge. One of the things I realized when I first started practicing integrative medicine was how simple it can be to stop the cycle of recurrent ear infections. In medical school, I was trained how to pick the proper antibiotic for the specific ear infection. What I learned during my integrative medical training was how to ask the following questions: • Why is this child continuing to get ear infections? • And why is their body not able to take care of these infections without stronger and stronger antibiotics? Of course this all boils down to the immune system. What are the factors preventing the immune system from working optimally? After treating hundreds of patients, I have uncovered the 2 most overlooked contributors to recurrent ear infections: 1. Food sensitivities 2. Environmental allergies (these can be indoor or outdoor) When we identify the specific foods and/or allergies that are inflaming the child’s Eustacian tube and nasal passages, we can have a significant impact on preventing further infections. Tonight I will be fielding your questions about ear infections. Date: December 29th Time: 8:30-9:30 PM EST Location: Your living room Click here to register sheilakilbane/ask-the-doc-anything Warmly, Sheila PS - I will be holding my comprehensive webinar on how to prevent recurrent ear infections Thursday, January 15th.
