This is from a couple of years back, Neil Stych sent me the shot of me photographing this Red Knot at Snettisham. Often, if you watch the direction a bird is moving whilst feeding along the tideline, it is possible to move several yards ahead of the bird, lay down and wait and they will walk right past you. By laying down you are not a threatening shape against the skyline, and look like objects they are used to seeing on the beach (in my case I probably resemble a Seal). This also gives a unique PoV and by using a shorter lens the image shows the subject and its environment together!
