This is from my sister concerning my brother-in-love, Sam Brown.... Precious Family and Loving Friends: We are at a very crucial time in this journey. Sam will be transferred tomorrow morning at 10:00am Eastern time zone from the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital to Fairfax Inova. The transfer will be very taxing and extremely risky for him. I am asking you for prayers at the time of the transport. The EMT team came into the hospital today to talk to him about the possibilities and to let him know they have thought of every possible scenario and are prepared for it. His pulmonologist, Dr Mayes, will ride with him in the ambulance as well as our son, Scott, and reparation therapist, Kyle. Christin, Andy and I will meet them there. The ambulance will ride hot meaning lights and sirens……unusual for a hospital to hospital transfer and also unusual for the doctor to be onboard. But then my beloved is unusual, isnt he? He has made friends with each person that has crossed his path. He asks questions and gets to know them. He introduces them to us when we are there. EVERYONE wants to ride with him to Fairfax. Medical staff not even on duty tomorrow are coming in just to help in any way they can. They want to be part of this incredible story. And Sam wants you all to know that it is well with his soul! He has told anyone who will listen that God has a plan and a purpose for every person He created. Sam is showing all of us, by his example, how to live our lives - not just in the ordinary, run of the mill days but also through the difficult ones. God is faithful! He will not leave us and never forsake us! Sam knows that when you have served His purpose for your life and have been faithful to His bidding, you will be called home to be with Him eternally. And I want you to know that Sam Brown is okay with whatever His Lord and Savior has in store for Him. But for us who are not ready to let him go - please pray for a good outcome tomorrow and in the days to come! I love you!
