This is in the giving credit where credit is due category. The Daily Oklahoman has given us more publicity in less than a week than they did in the entire 2012 campaign against soon to be ex-congressman Lankford. The first article mentioned a good part of our platform and it was unfiltered. Today, the editorial staff even gave us a mention without any unflattering commentary. I guess meeting with their editorial board was helpful, but just not while Mr. Lankford held the seat. Since the newspaper has the largest circulation of any paper in CD5, this can only boost our campaign. Patience is a virtue. God knows my supporters and I have patiently waited for fair treatment. Perhaps receiving 97,504 votes in 2012, which is the most any Democrat in the CD5 race has earned since 1992, and the second most since 1974, has had an effect. We can only hope and wait and see.
