This is jack writing -since we share a FB account, i wanted to clarify. A few adjustments for me being back in the US FOR 6 MONTHS: I miss the warm hospitality and friendliness of Puerto Rico - * It is common in Puerto Rico to tell someone - BUEN PROVECHO - basically enjoy your meal, when you pass by someone eating. I sure like the custom, but I have to refrain here to not spook people. I STILL WANT TO greet EVERYONE in an elevator or waiting room at the dr.s office. I miss this custom too. * Stopping Besitos (Puerto Rican greetings) has been hard for me back in the US. :) So, if you are from the US, and Ive kissed you on the cheek - please dont be offended. PR friends and family - i plan to KEEP giving besitos to you. :) * Living overseas most of the last 14 years, I am NOT used to seeing certain things: - Sports things like UFgators, Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, - Things near my hometown like Seaside and Destin shirts, Walton County Car Tags, etc... I smile when I see these things and want to say something to the person that has this thing, but then i realize that it is NO BIG DEAL here, and Im living in the middle of these things that i missed for a long time living overseas. Bottom Line: I am still getting used to being here. :) jack
