This is my face now pretty much all the time! Grumpy, grim, and determined! Spent most of last night shut in my office doing month-end and management reporting once again, whilst listening to epic songs from bands such as The Doors, The Specials, The Troggs, and for some reason Honey by Bobby Goldsboro hahaha! I was in the Club yesterday evening but even beer and good company did not make much difference, I remained a miserable bastard and I could not even be arsed to play darts with the likes of Frenchy and the Man in Black! The Captain regaled us with interesting facts including that his family home had been built in 1876 or some such date, at which point Tintin interjected that that date was coincidently also the date of my birth… how the bastards laughed! The English never miss an opportunity to kick a man when he’s down! I do remember that at some point whilst we were all sitting on the high stools around the bar Flowery suddenly said in a loud gruff voice “I like faggots”! That effectively killed the conversation and an awkward silence followed as none of us knew quite what to say! Then he said “Yes, I do like Brains’ Faggots” (Brains’ being a company that manufacture faggots which are akin to large meatballs made from offal).
