This is my son Colby. He may have Autism but that Does Not make him less. Many of you know he was diagnosed with Autism at age 2 way back in 2000. And I have made it a personal mission to educate myself and others or any one who wants to know or listen about Autism. I also promised Colby I would learn all I could through different agencies and literature. Through classes and seminars. Through Behaviorist and Social Workers. Specialists and psychiatrists to make me his biggest advocate and the very best mommy to him. I made that promise so that he could better function in todays world, so that he could have a chance to experience things those specialists said he wound NEVER DO! The funniest thing of it all and maybe the most profound is that 10 million times over Colby taught me more then ANY OF THEM! He taught me to NEVER GIVE UP! THAT LESS IS MORE and To LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY! Ive watched him read, write ,talk , love have enormous personality and graduate from the 8th grade and they those specialists I learned from said he would NEVER do any of those things! Colby will have Autism his whole life, but I will try my hardest to make sure that Autism doesnt have him. I LOVE LOVE LOVE you my Handsome Amazing Beautiful Son. Blessed Beyond words everyday thank you Jesus for my living Angel here on Earth!!!
