This is my son sam... He is the reason I am raising money for the national autistic society. The picture below shows where he bites himself, and bruises from hitting himself on the wall. he does this on a regular basis, he also hits his head repeatedly, tries to strangle himself with items of clothing and runs off and attempts to jump into roads. He can also be very aggressive towards people when he has a melt down. In the space of a week sam has had to be restrained several times a day in a 5 day period... Without the provision of funds to teach people MAPA. (management of actual or potential aggression) techniques sam may have been seriously injured or he may have injured others. With more funds the national autistic society can help educate parents/carers and work with children to help improve family life, child safety and awareness, It can.also provide a befriender for families that helps to get through the hard times and with support... Every penny counts and does make a difference so please..
