This is neither an open letter nor a request for Immediate monetary benefits as the former is highly overrated and the later would dimish the cause of this elongated statement. This is a call to all the students of Jadavpur University, especially the Arts Faculty. Since the inception of our rather tumultuous relationship with this centre of excellence, some people become SYMBOLS of our existence. One such famous symbol is BHOOTNATH DA. The entrance to the arts faculty eventually means the opportunity to meet this genuine, helpful and witty human being who is, arguably, the soul of our faculty. Photocopies needed? HE IS THE ANSWER Dont know your syllabus? HE IS THE ANSWER Have a test tomorrow and clueless about syllabus? HE IS THE ANSWER Want to share your thoughts when alone? HE IS THE ANSWER However, after interacting with him this morning, It is with a heavy heart that I inform that he has decided TO SHUT DOWN HIS SHOP. YES. BHOOTNATH DA HAS DECIDED TO LEAVE JU. and why? Because many of our esteem students find it rather funny in harassing this simple man. After ordering about 60 copies of a particular text, it is NOT COOL to leave it there and collect about 10 of it? DONT YOU GET THAT IT TAKES MONEY TO PHOTOCOPY THOSE MATERIALS?? OR IS THIS ALL A BIG JOKE TO YOU? I sincerely BEG the students to take their necessary documents and come to a decision as to how we can keep our BHOOTNATH da to OURSELVES.
