This is not methylation-related but I feel it is important - TopicsExpress

This is not methylation-related but I feel it is important non-the-less. Ebola is probably going to get worse, before it gets better. There seems to be a lot of fear in this area; and rightly so since we seem to be defenseless and vulnerable against Ebola. But are we? I did a little digging by searching Ascorbate + Ebola and there is good data and science to suggest we may be able to fight this off. Only a few mammals on Earth cannot synthesize Vitamin C - Humans, Primates, Guinea Pigs, and a couple types of bats. Not being able to make vitamin C from scratch means we are easily depleted in the face of increased demand. Ebola and other viruses cause scurvy in our bodies very quickly; the virus causes us to consume all the vitamin C we have. This creates enormous inflammation, weakens connective tissues, causes blood vessels to fall apart, essentially paralyzing our immune systems ability to fight off the virus. Then we start to hemorrhage and bleed out, ultimately loosing our lives. It is similar to how scurvy kills people, only scurvy takes several months, and Ebola only a few weeks. We need to remember that Ebola is carried in other animals, it doesnt kill them, because they can make vitamin C and thus do not die of scurvy. I wanted to share this with this community because it seems there is a lot of fear and we need to balance that with information. If modern medicine allowed us to use Vitamin C to fight ebola, it may give people ideas that Vitamin C could be used for other things - heart disease, cancer, etc. So dont expect any official sponsorship of this. I would however encourage you to learn about the connection between Ebola (hemmorhagic fever) and vitamin C - you might be surprised. All hemmorhagic fevers appear to deplete vitamin C, they all have similar mechanisms of injury, and they all might be cured with vitamin C. I suggest you all stock up on quality buffered ascorbic acid...and pray we wont need it! - In Health, Dr. Rostenberg vitamincfoundation.org/orthomed/ebola.htm
