This is one of the best negotiation scenes I ever saw in a movie. Al Pacino is Frank, a blind old man that achieve to negotiate a tango dance with a beautiful lady on the restaurant. Actually the movie is called Scent of a Woman and has this name because of this scene. The negotiation process : -> Frank got interested by the scent. -> At first he gathers information about the person he wants to negotiate with, asking Charlie its impressions about the woman. -> Charlie confirm to Frank the women is someone interesting. -> When approaching Donna, he says they would like to join her because he feels she is being neglected. (So, he is offering some distraction and company while she is all alone waiting someone else). -> Continuing he achieved to use his weakness at his favor, asking her if they could make her some company to keep the womanizers from bothering. ;) -> After she accepted his first approach he creates already a strong connection with Donna, guessing the very exactly name of the bath soap she was using. -> During all the negotiation process he is paying attention on the person he is negotiating with, specially the reactions. E.g. beautiful laugh -> He got the information that she would like to learn tango. -> He invites her in a way that looks like she is wining a lot dancing with him. Im offering you my services, free of charge. What you say ? -> Franck answers positively the objection of Donna, that was afraid of making a mistake. -> Frank achieves to dance tango with Donna. :) Efficient negotiation process and the scene is just beautiful. By the way, Al Pacino won the oscar for his role on this movie. vimeo/34094181
