This is one of the most disturbing and graphic videos youll ever see. If you decide to watch it, know you will see what dogs go through in the last few moments of their life as they are placed in a gas chamber. I watched it, sobbing the whole time, and I will never get these images and sounds out of my head. This is why we always try to find room for one more. Its why we allow our hearts to be broken day after day. Its why we would risk being arrested to save an animal from harm. Why many of us spend our money on food, fosters and other things these rescued dogs need, and why we open our homes to these temporary family members until we can find them a fur-ever home. If you want to know why so many of us are passionate about rescue and why we exhaust ourselves for the cause, this is it. No animal should ever be dumped at a shelter, know they are headed to their demise by the smell of death, experience this last horror, and then be thrown away like so much garbage. There is NO EXCUSE not to spay or neuter your pets. NONE. There are places that will provide the surgery inexpensively, there are organizations that help subsidize it and some will even do this for FREE. Please, for the love of everything holy, please help make rescues and rescuers obsolete. Stop perpetuating the cycle.
