This is probably why some do not find history very interesting... Posted by the Committee of Correspondence and the Committee of Safety Administrator who must know everything.. Copy&paste again strikes into our heritage! The Committee of Safety -10, June 1775 NOTE: Today a few sites are stating that “John Adams proposes a Continental Army in the Continental Congress”, as this day in history info blurb. After reading the “Journals of the American Congress” for this date, it was clear this statement isn’t recorded. Many different sites have again copy& paste this with no accurate evidence. A blatant distortion is from “American colonial marines on Wikipedia, which states “The 2nd Continental Congress passed a resolution on 10 June 1775, in creating the Continental Army from all the available colonial forces and militias around Boston; they appointed George Washington, a Congressman of Virginia, as the Commanding General of the Continental Army” and using the reference as (Abbot, Willis J. (1890). The Naval History of the United States. New York: Peter Fenelon). Again this is incorrect and a copy&paste attack on our history.
