This is so true, and its sad. Communication in real time with real people is so rewarding. It makes me feel so insignificant when Im with someone, but they prefer to communicate with whoever is sending text messages to them. They ask me to wait just a minute...hold on...Ill just read this one, or answer that one. If were having dinner together, I prefer to visit, not get left out, however then they want to show me the messages as well. If you want to spend time with the person on the other end of the text messages, ask them to join us, and we can all communicate with each other, and enjoy a social encounter.
