This is the core of the problem with a political state - Northern Ireland - whose foundation is 17th century politics of hate, prejudice and bigotry. This is the tradition Unionists celebrate. And this image is how they regard the native Irish and the Catholic and nationalist population. If you find it disturbing, and you should, this is the ugly underside of politics in Northern Ireland and the creation of the British government which has supported this inhumanity since its duplicitous lies in the 1921 treaty negotiations with Michael Collins. It is well past time to end this Frankenstein colonial statelet on Irish territory and this division in the country. Tiocfaidh ar là. Saoirse na hÉireann. End this British supported political malignancy.
