This is the lift that will be in question for some people. I am not an advocate of touching the chest while benching. Its uncomfortable for my arm length, and puts too much pressure on my shoulders. Im not a powerlifting competitor, and I have never touched the bar to my chest for bench, and Im not going to trash my shoulders just to satisfy someones ego (including mine). With that being said, I definitely wouldve liked to go a couple inches lower on this lift. I tried again at the end of the day, but didnt have the strength left to get this weight again after maxing out on my lifts today. So, for now this is my best effort at 450 lbs. If you dont count it, I can understand your opinion. Im happy with it, I will count it, but no excuses on my part, I need to go a couple inches lower on future attempts. https://youtube/watch?v=9icUVpRaqbg
