This is the little cottage I rented just above Nimbin Village from Xmas 98 to 2007. Id just finished a 20 year relationship, and, at the age of 45, after a lifetime of serial monogamy, began to get to know myself. My then 14yo daughter Jamila came to live with me, and, despite some tempestuous Nimbin teenage years, we were both delighted with the arrangement. I began to write and perform again after a 25 year hiatus, my business blossomed, and five years later I met the love of my life, The Beautiful Jodie. My second daughter Ella was conceived here. I would sit at my table on the verandah, facing north with fantastic mountain views of the Nightcap and Border Ranges, Nimbin Rocks to the west, surrounded by flowers, birds and wallabies, and cook up my various spoken word entertainments and stories. I always had a camera handy, and it was a scenically spectacular location. My particular interest was sky phenomena, and with the storms and sunsets there, amazing sky scenes were common. Im going to post some from my collection over the next few weeks. Enjoy.
