This is the most important, relevant and brilliant documentary - TopicsExpress

This is the most important, relevant and brilliant documentary I’ve ever seen. Yes, it’s 4.5 hours, but can be watch in three parts ...each part as relevant as the others. (Produced by Scott Noble/Metanoia Films.) Contends that every US administration/president in history has been motivated solely by business interests. Eisenhower’s warning about the Military Industrial Complex has been ignored. No president of the last 80 years gets off the hook.....Truman, Ike, Nixon, Kennedy, Reagan, the two Bushes, Clinton and right up to Obama have been complicit. Yes, even Carter. ‘ How the USA has overthrown democratically-elected governments in Iran, the Congo, Guatemala, Chile, etc....and tried to so many times with Cuba. That the Cold War was totally avoidable. The Soviet Union was NOT a threat until it was provoked into being one. The super-power standoff was a pretext for the US arms buildup, which still continues. Interesting stuff from Thomas Barnett, author of “The Pentagon’s New Map.” That “The Third World War” is already well underway...i.e. that is the ongoing US war against the people of “the Third World.” A lot of comment about the US’s “Mafia Principle” from Noam Chomsky, who is marginalized by all mainstream media and is largely a voice in the wilderness. And how all mainstream media have been co-opted into or are willfully engaged in managing public opinion to advance US corporate interests. Simply brilliant. Its a shame more people wont watch it due to the length. Because this is probably the best film ever made about American foreign policy. - Spartacus - ICH From interview with Producer Scott Noble: I’m not American, so I won’t speak to how I feel Americans should vote. It’s true that American corporations own about three-quarters of Canada, making Canadians a de facto colony of the empire, but we’re still technically two different countries. What I will say is that “lesser evilism” is clearly a failed strategy. Moreover, it is downright utopian to imagine that one person elected to a position of power – even the presidency – will be able to stave off the coming disaster. The land-mass known as the United States hasn’t had democracy on a large scale since the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Federation. In fact virtually none of the world’s countries, regardless of political labels, have anything approaching majority rule. Switzerland is fairly democratic; however even in countries like Switzerland there are very strong institutional hierarchies, as well as strong adherence to market systems. Under “representative” democracy in the United States and most other countries — especially after the rise of television – voting has become little more than a symbolic exercise. Elections are mostly competitions between different PR firms and vote fraud specialists. The Power Principle (full length documentary – all three parts) 4.25.27 youtube/watch?v=RDZwHUlIiLI In its three parts here: informationclearinghouse.info/article31417.htmOR Or here: documentarystorm/the-power-principle-documentary/ Corporate Empire and the Rise of the National Security State: This documentary is about the foreign policy of the United States. It demonstrates the importance of the political economy, the Mafia principle, propaganda, ideology, violence and force. It documents and explains how the policy is based on the interest of major corporations and a tiny elite to increase profits and the United States governments own interests in maintaining and expanding its imperialistic influence. Inside the United States this has been made possible with a propaganda of fear for the horrible enemies like the Soviet Union, Communists and so on and a love for free markets, democracy, freedom and so on. Externally (and increasingly internally) this has caused massive poverty and suffering, genocide, war, coups, crushed unions and popular movements and environmental destruction. This massive documentary does a stellar job of mapping the mass violence and hypocrisy of plutocracy and nation building. Make no mistake, the nation that is being discussed is the United States of America. Major corporations: we are talking about YOU. Major corporations are controlling the government of the United States of America. This is not a mere conspiracy theory. Many of the top politicians in the country have gone on record -- as if it is nothing new, or offensive -- to talk about the close connections between campaign fundraising, policy, and politician. It is a problem on both sides of the political line. Inside the United States this has been made possible with a propaganda of fear for the horrible enemies like the Soviet Union, Communists and so on and a love for free markets, democracy, freedom and so on. A gripping, deeply informative account of the plunder, hypocrisy, and mass violence of plutocracy and empire; insightful, historically grounded and highly relevant to the events of today. - Michael Parenti, Historian, Author The Face of Imperialism Please visit the film makers website for more information, films, etc. metanoia-films.org/ The Power Principle: Empire-part 1: An Introduction to the Empire; Iran -- Oil and Geopolitics; Guatemala -- the merger of state and corporate power; The Congo -- Neocolonialism; Grenada -- The Mafia Doctrine; Chile -- libertarianism with a small l; Globalization: Consequences. 1945: Grand Area Strategy; Fascism: a rational system of the plutocracy; Case Studies: the Greek Communists; The Italian Communists; the Spanish Anarchists; Fascisms Western backers; Trading with the Enemy; Fascism as preservation of civilization; the Cold War and A Century of Fear.
