This is the proposed MOA (for review of the Principal) ...... MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT This Memorandum of Agreement is made on 27 July 2013 and entered into by and between parties Bagong Silangan High School (“the School”) represented by its school principal Mrs. ANGELITA G. REGIS and Bagong Silangan High School Central Parent Teacher Association (“BSHS CPTA”) represented by its President GERRY S. TOLEDO. That both parties bind and agree on following terms and conditions governing the PARENT-VOLUNTEER PROGRAM: PARENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM This program is initiated by CPTA and it involves deployment of parents who have an enrolled child on BAGONG SILANGAN HIGH SCHOOL. These parents had volunteered to help the school and the children. TERM This program shall be for the entire school calendar year of 2013-2014 unless the School pre-terminates it as part of its prerogative. OBJECTIVES A. To assist the school in keeping order during the class hours B. To be a partner of the school in providing safe and secure school environment C. To assist school in case of emergency AUTHORITY & REPORTING • Parent Volunteers are under direct supervision of the School Principal or its authorized officer. • Parent volunteers must strictly follow school rules & regulations, policies and instructions by the school. • CPTA shall exercise administrative supervision only (schedule/service). • Parent Volunteer shall immediately report to the nearest teacher or school officer for any incidents that involve students DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: a. Assist during the entrance of students and during the dismissal of classes. b. To roam around halls of the school buildings and make sure that no students are outside their rooms c. Maintain order during classes and ensure that students cause no disturbance or disruption. d. Stop students doing vandalism, graffiti, smoking, taking illegal drug or harassing fellow student. e. Secure school perimeters from possible outside break-in or influence. GUIDELINES a. Always be courteous and polite to school authorities (officers and teachers) and to students as well. b. Must always wear assigned ID and uniform. c. Strictly follow school rules & regulations. d. Must be alert and ready at all times. e. Must set a good example for students by their manners, appearance and behavior. f. Do not meddle in academic activities. g. Do not be involved with school personnel and the students. h. Do not develop conversation nor converse with students unless in the line of duty. i. Do not show any violent attitude or be confrontational with students. j. No profane words or cursing. k. Parent volunteers must sign in & out with the school logbook. l. Do not divulge school & student confidential matters. m. Do not attempt to give medication, counsel or course of actions to students. DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS • The school may reprimand or rebuke a parent volunteer for infraction committed during the course of his/her duty. • For graver offense, the school reserves the right to suspend or refuse a parent volunteer, pending the result of a joint investigation between the school and CPTA. GUARANTEES • The School assures full support to the parent volunteers and supports the success of the entire program. • BSHS CPTA commits its resources for an effective and efficient parent volunteerism program.
