This is the type of stuff you find when searching your ancestry. Many stories in our history, most of us descend from a European or two, by choice or force, but it is what it is. Embrace your heritage, its what makes you who you are. I for one know of a few interracial relationships in my lineage that werent forced or unwanted and the children were raised by their white fathers without shame. Im not saying thats the majority of the cases, but whatever it was, it was, and we cant change it today. We an embrace it and love ourselves wholly. I didnt know any of them, but through research and study of the history of the time that lived, im learning so much. Like one of my grandmothers was part of the movement of the Choctaw Indians from Mississippi to The Nation. Ive learned that one of grandfathers married into the Ragland family and had children from whom i descend. Ive learned that my family owned a very elegant Resort, like the Hilton of their times, called Chick Springs (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chick_Springs). This is amazing to me.
