This is what food baskets for those in need in this country should consist of. Not packaged foods (full of chemicals), pastries and breads (over processed flour and sugar that lead straight to diabetes), canned foods (metals seep into the foods over a long period of time on the pantry shelves of helping centers, causing poisons in the blood). Why dont we? Because weve been brainwashed. Many of us were taught not the food pyramid but the four basic food groups, including too many grains, unnecessary meats, and dairy which our bodies arent designed to process after we are weaned from the breast. And they told us that FDA approved = healthy. Wrong! FDA approves chemicals added to our foods. Not healthy! It approves over processing things to the point that there is zero nutrient value left in the food. The result, fat and sick Americans everywhere. And now when there are folks in need, they do not get this, which they should. Instead, they get the very nutrient lacking foods that have probably already damaged their health so much it may have led to joblessness.
