This is why I listen to conservatives: Charles Krauthammer gave a brilliant exposition on why the term Redskin should fade away. He cited Negro as a perfect example: WEB Dubois waged a 10 year campaign to have negro capitalized in the language- it was the most respectful term for who we now call African Americans, and in my opinion a much more applicable term. Here is the news: Redskins do not exist, neither do Negroes or African Americans. They are all figments of the American imagination in our struggle to replace that which was taken away- human dignity. Perhaps one day we can all just be people. No time soon, sadly.
