This is why the President won the Nobel peace prize. When he ran, he said : We are THE United States of America,we should not be afraid to sit down with our enemies or adversaries. In his first inaugural address, President Obama said: We will extend our hand if you are willing to unclench your fist. The previous president claimed he was establishing democracy through war, a war that created more terrorists than it elimnated. This one is trying through peaceful measures. So, whats the problem, haters? You hate the fact that he gets accolades thrown his way instead of shoes. May I also remind that this President had a BIG hand in overthrowing the Libyan dictator with no boots on the ground, persuaded the dictator of Egypt to give it up. That, along with getting bin Laden means this President took care of business where not one, but two Republican presidents failed. You may be entitled to your opinion but facts and history dont lie. He still gets a Presidential Library and Museum and Naval ship named after him, just like the others. So in conclusion, hate on haters, hate on! His election instantly restored Americas credibility with the world. Speaking of the Nobel peace prize, Reagan could have won one if he had used the same energy and effort to say end apartheid now as he did grandstanding about the Berlin wall. Because this is what real Presidents do as leader of the free world and most powerful person on the planet instead of B movie actors elected to act like the President, with all due respect. One more historical fact: President Obamas first official act as Commander-in-Chief was to give the Navy the order to rescue Captain Phillips from the Somali pirates, which Im quite sure his family will forever be grateful.
