This isnt easy to watch if you havent walked th walk with convicts, inmates, or offenders as they like to be called in th newest generation one th convicted. But this tells it like it is with cold hard facts nd from an officers point of view.... It is not an easy walk or one that just anyone can do but it has to be done. I feel most all of my fellow officers that I ever worked with was Firm, but fair nd consistant. I pray in my heart that officers like my mom, ex husband nd so, so, so many more can someday have peace in their hearts with th things they witnessed, lived thru nd are survivors of.... There is five parts to this. If your interested in a glimps of what goes on behind th walls of a prison.........watch these. But I understand if you cant bare watching it bc its not at all sugar coated. Its just not long enough nd it doesnt tell it from a true corrections officers point of view... Bc a true corrections officer is not there to thisf up an inmates day. They are there to make sure th inmates needs are met, mountains custody nd control, (even tho one thing any good officer will realize) we are out numbered 300-1 & we are only there til th inmates decide they dont want us here nd thats a day I hope th unit I proudly walked in never comes but Im afraid it will bc they are EXTREMELY SHORT like 100+ short staffed. And in our oath we take when graduating th TDCJ Corrections Officer acadamey in Gatesville, Tx. We promise to try with all our training to re-innergrate offenders into society by teaching them to be better people. So I feel if I saved one from going back to prison then we did our jobs correctly...
