Understand that even if Im smiling I know when someone is making fun of me, though that person may think theyre being subtle. Now thankfully, at my age, Ive learned to deflect and properly organize such comments, so they have minimal damage to my heart. So really this post is for the younger generation. So if youre the offender - words have intense and sometimes lasting consequences. In fact, facial expressions have the same power in my opinion. And if youre the victim - Im sorry.
