This mathematical solution by Laura Mersini-Houghton came out a bit before the release of Interstellar. Yet many non science sites ran a misleading story about how the black hole cgi in the film led scientists to new discoveries about black holes. Computer says no. The rest of the movie did a pretty good job with its science besides being based around what has always considered an irreconcilable math/physics concept rather than an observable phenomena. The recent Simpsons/Futurama handled a similar plot device (sans black holes) very elegantly and more accurately when explaining worm holes and quantum entanglement.
