This might be a little lengthy..but I know I have to share this with yall..for someone. Social media can be tricky..keeping it real yet avoiding broadcasting every problem..being positive but still being willing to swallow our image pride to tell it like it really is sometimes. Yes..I am always mindful that there are many who scroll down my page daily hoping to find a dent in my armor..a moment that I fall flat on my face..and I do try not to give them the satisfaction. BUT tonight what really matters outweighed my thoughts on the haters. Tonight I just want to share with you that no matter how many likes we get on our images, statuses, posts..(especially the ones that reflect us at our best, most confident moments) ..no matter how many people flood our inbox, shower us with constant flattery and compliments..at the end of the day we are all still human and can find ourselves broken, betrayed and hurt. I really try to be transparent, yet use wisdom about what I post on social media..but tonight I just wanna tell you that no matter how many people seem to love me my heart can still be just as broken as yours. Im real just like you. I have great faith..but still get discouraged. Dont ever compare your life with someones image on Facebook..though it may be authentic I can promise you that you are not alone in those moments late at night..when hurt just comes crashing in. To end on a positive note..these moments will always pass and if you give it to God, not only will they pass but you can know God has something greater ahead for you..and for me. The great thing about going through hell, is that you come out on the other side on fire! I love the great quotes about strength and calling out the truth..but its okay to be real. Its okay to allow people to see your moments of hurt or its at least okay just to allow yourself to feel them. We are comforted so that we may comfort others. So tonight maybe my hurt will remind you that it isnt just you..feel what you feel but lets dont get stuck in it. For I know the plans I have for you saith the Lord..plans to prosper you and not to harm you..plans to give you a hope and a future. -Jeremiah 29:11
