#ukmconfessions - 23625 https://facebook/fazrin.jamal/posts/767269129997663 People in first world countries (such as Japan, Korea, Norway and Sweden) do not argue over race, religion, jihad, liwat, aurat, dog and pendatang. They discuss serious issues that affect them and/or benefit them like space exploration, rights of women, stem cell research and freedom of media. And you know what, they are laughing at us because, in their opinion, most of us are childish and ignorant. You may be angry knowing this but who can blame them? Undeniably, they were right. We can talk for many hours about the hukum of touching a dog, quote many hadiths to support our argument and present many examples to prove our claims but seriously, what is the point? Does discussing this issue will improve our standard of living? Does criticising those people who went to Bandar Utama two days ago to touch dogs will help us in any way? Does insulting them with hurtful comments such as terikut ikut agenda yahudi laknatullah, bodoh ugama orang islam liberal ni, kafir pun lagi baik daripada orang yang pergi pegang anjing will make us happier? I dont think so. It seems to me that only few malaysians realise that I Want to Touch a Dog is not a major issue that deserves our attention. I think the time has come for us to open our mind and accept the reality that we cannot dictate what people can and cannot do. It is not for us to decide. If they want to take a selfie with a dog and then post it on facebook, fine. Its none of our business. They have the right to do whatever they want as long as their action does not negatively affect others. Article 10 (1) (a) to the Federal Constitution and Article 19 to Universal Declaration of Human Rights give them freedom to speak and express themselves freely. Besides, they are not committing any crime by uploading their photo with a dog on fb. Some conservative muslim think they are a bad influence to other muslims but im sorry, I have to disagree. They are actually good muslims who deserve our respect. P.S. I have never seen conservative malays in this country discussing science-related issues such as multiverse theory, evolution, anthropogenic global warming and ebola outbreak. They are quick to judge others but not interested at all to make our world a better place to live in. If only they were interested in science as much as they are interested in childish issues im sure they can contribute so many things to the world. Fazrin Jamal
