This month in Kolkata a Hindu Amiya Sarkar is caught for fixing a poster in the name of Jamaat ul Mujahideen Bangladesh. (02 Dec 2014, The statesman) Earlier this month in Muzaffarnagar police arrested Hindu VHP worker Deshraj Singh for placing loaves of buffalo meat in front of at least three Hindu temples. ( 22 December 2014, NDTV ) Recently 16 ministers in Rajasthan got threat mails in which an Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist said that his group would launch series of terror attacks in the state. Police lodged FIR against unknown IM terrorist group. Last week Rajasthan ATS tracked down a Hindu man Sushil Chaudhary who reportedly sent those threat mails posing as an IM terrorist. (28 December 2014, Times Of India) This week another Hindu boy has been held by Bangalore police for sending posting threatening tweets to bomb the city. The posed as Muslim Abdul Khan. ( 29 December, 2014, Hindustan Times ) Interestingly, none of these four Hindus are going to be booked as suspected terrorists. While releasing them, after perhaps some rounds of rebukes, the police and media made every effort to convince us that the men were stressed, depressed or mentally unsound. On the other hand, there are examples of Muslims spending years in jail for sending identical threats over email; in those cases police did not find any evidence of terror linked to them and they were acquitted, but not before spending years in jails. Police know that a Muslim can never be stressed, depressed or mentally unsound- he can only be a die-hard terrorist !
