This morning I am brought to 2 Corinthians 5:17 again. Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation the old has gone the new has come! Verse 18 goes on to some very wonderful truths, but today I want to focus on what happens when you are born again. At first you do well and then all of a sudden your old ways come back! Hmmmm.......it says you are a new creation right? Yes, your spirit is a new creation something it has never been before, but you still live in the same fleshly body that has desires to sin. Dont panic and dont get down on yourself. The key here is to KEEP your eyes on Jesus and get into the Word of God daily. Pray and pray and pray some more. God will direct you in what to change in your life to help you to overcome these fleshly desires and to renew your mind daily to the things of God. Being born again is not some magical fix that means you will never experience anything harsh or difficult in life. So when you mess up dont get down on yourself lookup to Jesus fix your eyes on Him go before God tell Him the truth (He already knows) and follow the directions He gives you.
