This morning I got the news that my dad passed away. Even though we were expecting that he would pass because of his deteriorating health, I cannot say I am not hurt by the news. It really hurts because daddy was a good father and during the last weeks and months of his life he suffered tremendous pain. And it hurts to see him go through so much pain when he lived an exemplary life to his children and those who knew him. But through it all, God has been good and I would have preferred for him to leave this earth than suffer in pain. We know daddy you are in a better place. You knew the Lord Jesus before you died and you served him well while you live. You will always be in our hearts. I am really glad I had the opportunity to see you and spend time with you before you left this life. I am calm at this time and I know it’s the peace of God at work. The tears will flow every now and then but God is upholding me and giving me strength. He always does. My family need your prayers at this time. To my family, stay strong. God will see us through this difficult time.
