This morning I got up early and went for a walk/run - more of a walk. As I walked I felt God speaking to my heart about how He redeems all things. At one point I walked across a bridge (actual, not figurative) and noticed that to one side was a place I visited more than 20 years ago and to the other side was the place I am visiting right now for a conference at work. The contrast was stark and again I felt Him say, This is the difference between what I offer you and what the world can offer you. To the right the place I am staying now unfolded like a kingdom on an ocean, lit by the rising sun. There is no question that I want what God offers me. But if Im honest, there are often times when I plead with Him for what I want out of this life. They are actually good things but they arent things I cant count on IN ALL TIMES. That is God alone. I have walked paths that were so dark and read Gods words to me about turning ashes to beauty. Now twice this year I have witnessed it. And when he redeems something He speaks directly to my heart with His Spirit voice so I dont miss it. (Ok well maybe I miss other things but I heard Him point out at least two.) Though I know soon enough I will be asking for something I THINK I need, I testify today that God does redeem all things and I do want what He offers more than anything else. What He offers is so much greater.
