This morning, I was invited to lay a wreath on behalf of the Parliament of Canada at the cenotaph in front of Province House. As the Member of Parliament for Charlottetown and the former Liberal Critic for Veterans Affairs, I am honoured to have had the opportunity to do so. It was a beautiful day and the Remembrance Day ceremony was deeply touching, with an unusually large turnout this year according to many organizers. Having been present on the Hill, nearly three weeks ago, when Cpl. Nathan Cirillo lost his life at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa, I want to reiterate once again my thanks to all those who serve and have served in our Canadian Armed Forces. It is fitting that we should take this day to remember them and the contributions they have made and continue to make in our name.
