This morning Ive seen on fb and heard a few ppl rubbish the game of rugby league and how dangerous it is for kids , well my opinion is - this sport ,is a contact sport and parents and caregivers are fully aware of this and they are fully aware of all risk and injuries, that can happen during any game or training sessions. These players are trained by qualified coaches and trainers ,although its all voluntary , they have to be qualified ,even down to administering water to a player. These players enjoy being part of rugby league,its not just about the game itself either, its about learning of the game,respect ,commitment , working as a team and being part of a team and not just as an individual and most of all having fun!!! We as parents agree to let them play this sport ,cos they enjoy the game!! Injuries dont just happen in rugby league!!! God u put ur lil ones in a car nearly everyday and thats a deadly weapon in itself and the government actually lets a 16 yr old hold a learners permit to drive on these roads, where they have more of a risk of death. So think about the risk of other things ,that u do everyday, that puts ur child at risk of any injury! example- letting them walk/ride/bus/train or car to school/shops or a friends place without a parent for starters ...but Im stopping here lol
