This morning i had a cute little 5year old patient that i had already treated when she was a baby, who apparently is afraid of tasting different food and has a very limited variety of food she eats. My diagnose was that she had a hyper reactive sense of smell related to her first cranial nerve and as this nerve is closely related to the survival instinct it could explain the fear of tasting. Interestingly enough i found a blockage on her skull that could support my idea. And i just had to work on releasing that blockage so the nerve could function again. Osteopathy rocks!
